CORAL LANDINGS III ANNOUNCES NEW TENANTS INCLUDING FIRST-TO-MARKET AND FIRST-EVER IN BROWARD COUNTY ADDITIONS

Coral Landings III, a neighborhood shopping center managed and leased by Madison Marquette, a leading private real estate investment manager, developer, operator and service provider (www.madisonmarquette.com), announced today the addition of four new tenants – Gracie Barra, SONIC Drive-In, Steam City Kids and Fat Boyz Barbecue – each projected to open between Q2 and Q3 2018. On the heels of a significant $1 million-plus ALDI renovation as well as a host of exterior upgrades, Coral Landings has become one of the premier neighborhood shopping centers in the rapidly expanding Coral Springs market. The center expects to make an additional announcement about a fifth new tenant soon, bringing Coral Landings III to full occupancy.

“Conveniently located within a flourishing family-oriented trade area, we curated the best of the local market, carefully selecting retailers to fill the few remaining tenant spaces and complement the center’s existing tenant mix,” says Whitney Livingston, Senior Vice President, Real Estate Services, Madison Marquette.

First-to-Market Tenant: The new 1,500-square-foot Steam City Kids, expected to open at Coral Landings III this summer, will be the educator’s first-ever brick-and-mortar retail location. A traditionally online-only scholastic community, Steam City Kids blends literacy and current events with science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM) activities to ignite a passion for learning and “higher order thinking.” As an approved educational partner to Florida public schools, the new Steam City Kids, to be located near Ballard Designs and U.S. Route 441, will now combine a hands-on learning environment with its previously online-only offerings to create an educational experience perfect for kids who have a passion for learning.

Family-Focused Service Provider: Gracie Barra, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu association with more than 700 schools on six continents, will be located near Steam City Kids on the Best Buy/US Route 441 side of the Coral Landings III property. The 2,023-square-foot martial arts facility, expected to open at Coral Landings this summer, provides disciplined training through a variety of programs that are welcoming to the whole family, including a program for children ages three to 15. The adaptable atmosphere Gracie Barra will bring to Coral Landings will be a significant draw for families, particularly those that appreciate the facility’s close proximity to schools.

First-Ever in Broward County: The new SONIC Drive-In at Coral Landings III will mark the restaurant’s first-ever location in Florida’s Broward county. Conveniently located near Starbucks and Tijuana Flats, the new SONIC, slated to open by year-end, will boast a total footprint of 4,500 square feet, including 2,611 square feet under air. Perhaps best known for its carhops on roller-skates, SONIC gives a tangential nod to the 1950s while providing a welcome gathering place for friends and families looking for an afternoon hot spot to enjoy a burger and fries or an icy-cold, hand-mixed shake in a variety of taste-tantalizing flavors.

Second Location for Locally Owned Sensation: Fat Boyz Barbecue is a locally owned restaurant sensation that will open its second trade area location this summer at Coral Landings III. The Coral Landings location will be directly operated by the founder and his wife, and unlike its first operation, the new 1,500-square-foot Coral Landings location will be open on Sundays to welcome hungry church-goers following morning services. Drawing from a wide demographic, the Coral Landings Fat Boyz is expected to drive additional activity and foot traffic in the ALDI wing of the center.

Each of the four new tenants announced today was selected with Coral Landings’ specific demographic in mind. Located in southeast Florida, the town of Coral Springs is a thriving community that has recently experienced a housing boom and an influx of young families. The area is both affluent and growing, with nearly 7,000 households within a one-mile radius of the center. Located directly between an elementary and high school at the heavily trafficked and signaled corner of Sample Road and NW 62nd Avenue, Coral Landings III is a well-situated center with strong accessibility and visibility. Supported by solid demographics and a growing population, each of the new tenants will benefit from the center’s prime location along a major traffic artery.
