Peter Tomai is Managing Director, Investments responsible for the company’s real estate development efforts in the Northeast including Madison’s transformational redevelopment of the Asbury Park, New Jersey waterfront. He also serves as Investment Manager for the company’s Montgomery Promenade and Richwood assets, managing investor relations in connection with over 1.6 million square feet of development and follow-on investments.
Prior to joining Madison Marquette, Mr. Tomai was Senior Vice President of Great Wolf Resorts (Nasdaq:WOLF) where he lead the development of over 2.5 million square feet of mixed-use destination resort product and was Executive Vice President of American Skiing Company (Nasdaq:SKI) the then largest owner and developer of resort oriented destination real estate in the country. Mr. Tomai also grew a private development firm which developed award winning adaptive reuse projects, medical and professional office campuses, master-planned communities, and mixed-use resort properties. Mr. Tomai began his career in New York City at National Westminster Bank, where he specialized in commercial real estate, M&A, and was a member of the bank’s asset recovery committee.
Mr. Tomai studied Mechanical and Management Systems Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and received a degree in finance and international business diplomacy from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University. He is Vice-Chairman of the Entertainment Development Council of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and serves on several boards. He is a member of the US Green Building Council, a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International, and an avid skier, cyclist and sailor.
