Charlotte Strain brings over 20 years of commercial real estate experience to Madison Marquette. In addition to serving in leadership roles for prominent family-owed, private and institutional owners, investors and real estate service providers, she has broad experience across asset classes. Her management background includes development, asset and property management, leasing and lease administration for retail, office, residential and mixed-use properties in both urban and suburban environments.

Prior to joining Madison, Charlotte was SVP, Asset Management for Rappaport, a leading privately held Washington, DC-based retail developer and manager. She directed and managed over 8 million square feet of grocery anchored shopping centers and headed up the Legal Lease Compliance division for a portfolio of over 1,600 leases. Previous roles include Commercial General Manager at Jones Lang Lasalle, and Senior Director, Commercial Asset Management at AvalonBay Communities, where she managed their national retail portfolio and directed all asset management leasing functions.
Real Estate Management’s (IREM) Washington, DC Chapter, and is an instructor for BOMI International, an independent institute for property and facility management education. Her professional designations include membership credentials from IREM, CCIM Institute, BOMI International and International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). Charlotte’s management credentials include graduate level study at Johns Hopkins University’s Carey Business School.
