As Senior Vice President and Director of Asset Management, Marilyn Lucas oversees Madison Marquette’s national office portfolio. She is responsible for monitoring and evaluating property performance and key value drivers, implementing initiatives to maximize investment returns, assessing potential capital investments and focusing on optimal capital structures and timing of exits.
Marilyn brings more than 20 years of commercial real estate experience with expertise in transactions and value-add asset management. Marilyn joined Madison Marquette with the 2019 merger of PM Realty Group. Prior to joining PMRG, she served as Vice President, Senior Asset Manager, REO at CWCapital, one of the largest Special Servicers of real estate. Her duties included asset management for a national portfolio of distressed office, industrial and retail assets totaling more than 10 million square feet and representing a UBP of $1.6 billion. During her four years there, she closed on the disposition of more than 20 assets totaling $740 MM in value.
Previously, Marily was a Principal at The Carlyle Group in Washington, D.C. where she was involved in the asset management and disposition of U.S. real estate investments totalling $2.8 billion in total capitalization. Prior to joining The Carlyle Group, Marilyn was a Senior Associate in the Investments group at CarrAmerica Realty Corporation, and prior thereto was Assistant Vice President, Capital Markets at Combined Properties, Inc.
Marilyn received her master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning with a concentration in Real Estate Development from The George Washington University, where she was an Oliver T. Carr scholarship recipient. She holds a B.A. from Brigham Young University. Ms. Lucas previously served on the board of Rebuilding Together of Washington D.C. for 15 years, including two years as its President.
