As Construction Manager for Madison Marquette’s Eastern Region, Dave Milstead is responsible for administering the various stages of Capital projects from development through close out for asset owners as well as new and existing tenants at assets owned and/or managed by Madison Marquette. In this role he works with architects, engineers, designers and owners to develop the project scope and then manages the bid process and will help determine the best value option for construction. He then oversees the delivery of projects for our clients by working with general contractors to ensure contract documents are adhered to and that changes are mitigated in order to better control a projects budget and timely completion. Additional duties in this phase include the processing of accurate and timely payments to general contractors. During the final stages of a project, Dave manages project close out, verifying warranties, punch list, final payments, lien wavers, and occupancy.
Milstead has over 30 years’ experience in MEP installation and Capital projects as well as the operation and startup of class A office buildings. Prior to his current assignment, Milstead was Chief Engineer at 1200 New Hampshire Avenue, a 280,000sf Class A office building in Washington DC. He holds Engineering licenses for the District of Columbia, Maryland, NIULPE and ASOPE and is certified “Universal” in CFC recovery from Ferris State University.
