Hyde Park Village is an outdoor lifestyle center offering a unique shopping, dining and entertainment experience. With a mix of national, regional and local retailers, the Village features a variety of shops and restaurants, a fitness center, full service salon and upscale cinema. Hyde Park Village is located at Swann and Dakota Avenues in the heart of the Hyde Park Historic Neighborhood District in one of Tampa Bay’s most desirable places to live. Hyde Park Village is the exclusive location in the Tampa retail market to Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids, Anthropologie, Restoration Hardware, Brooks Brothers, and Timpano Italian Chophouse.
Fresh markets are popular across the county and more and more are opening in downtown areas and neighborhoods to bring fresh and seasonal produce and unique items to the community. The overall vision of an on-going fresh market event was to activate the center and truly transform it into an interactive, central gathering place where the community could meet and socialize with their neighbors. It was also created as a means to draw people out of their homes, to help improve the Hyde Park neighborhood and to provide an economic stimulus to the center via an alternative shopping experience. Madison Marquette created an on-going, outdoor market in Hyde Park Village which would offer a host of social, economic and health benefits to consumers, the community and existing Village merchants alike.
We secured a partnership with Tampa Bay Markets, a local, non-profit organization to focuseon fresh, local, homemade, handcrafted and eco-friendly products. Additionally, Madison Marquette obtained the support of Hyde Park Village merchants, which helped accommodate the space needs of the market as it continues to grow.
The Fresh Market opened with 35 vendors in 2011 and has successfully grown to over 100 vendors who participate the first Sunday of every month. Merchants from Hyde Park Village have experienced significant sales increases directly related to the Fresh Market program.
