Mr. Muth, with over 25 years of real estate investment experience, is Executive Vice President, Managing Director, Asset Management overseeing Portfolio Management and Asset Management functions for the firm. In this capacity he will ensure a seamless connection between capital stakeholders and investment assets, and will assure proper and timely focus to reporting and decision making at the asset level.
Prior to joining Madison Marquette, Mr. Muth was Chief Investment Officer at Buckingham Companies of Indianapolis, where he oversaw Buckingham’s acquisition and capital markets activities. Prior to joining Buckingham, he was a founding Managing Partner overseeing all aspects and operations of Concert Realty Partners in Chicago, IL. Since 1993, Concert and its predecessor, ING Realty Partners, invested approximately $1.4 billion in 179 transactions on behalf of several comingled institutional funds and separately managed accounts, involving properties having an aggregate value in excess of $4.0 billion. Prior to joining ING Realty Partners in 1994, Mr. Muth was Director of Portfolio Sales and New Business Development with Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in New York, where he oversaw several large portfolio recapitalizations and sales in addition to leading the development of its CMBS portfolio. Prior to this he was a Portfolio Manager with JMB Realty Corporation in Chicago and a Senior Auditor with Arthur Andersen & Co. His real estate experience includes development, acquisition management or finance of more than $5.0 billion of property. Mr. Muth received an MS in Accounting from Truman State University in 1984 and a BA from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota in 1982. Mr. Muth is a Certified Public Accountant.
