Madison Marquette sought to secure tenants that are appropriately matched with the upscale
atmosphere and existing tenant mix while contributing a new, distinctive dimension to the project. Aggressive leasing efforts were initiated to improve the occupancy rate of the five-year-old lifestyle center completed during the South Florida’s real estate downturn.
An event program was designed that sets Mercato apart from other shopping centers and downtown areas with a special emphasis on the arts, culture and food and wine.. Madison Marquette identified local, regional and national tenants that would complement the current merchant mix and generate additional positive PR for Mercato. Proven Results As a result, Madison Marquette secured 11 leases in 12 months totaling over 57,000 SF, including the addition of Nordstrom’s Rack, 3 boutique eateries and an Aveda Salon.
