Marketfair announced today that popular women’s athletic wear store Athleta will open at the center on October 2.
Athleta, which was signed as a new tenant in May, will occupy 4,010 square feet between Sunglass Hut and Pottery Barn Kids. A member of the Gap Inc. family of stores, Athleta sells women’s yoga apparel, swimwear, work out gear and other accessories. The Marketfair store is only the second location for Athleta in New Jersey.
“Athleta is such a wonderful addition to our ever-growing selection of premium retail here at Marketfair,” said Richard Kenwood, SCSM, CPM®, General Manager of Marketfair. “We are proud to continually expand on the high quality, popular retail offerings available to the Princeton community.”
The opening of Athleta comes on the heels of the newly relocated and remodeled Barnes and Noble, which opened in September, and joins a number of new retail and dining options that have opened over the last year. Those include Banana Republic, Bobby’s Burger Palace, Olly Shoes, Qdoba Mexican Grill and West Elm.
“MarketFair continues to establish itself as a premier retail and dining destination in the region,” said John-david W. Franklin, SCLS, Senior Vice President, Leasing for Madison Marquette Retail Services, which manages the mall.
