Madison Marquette announced today the appointment of Peter Cole as Managing Director, Head of Development, Eastern Region. In addition to providing oversight for the company's substantial development operations on the East Coast, which include major mixed-use developments in Asbury Park, NJ, Baltimore, MD, Richwood, NJ and Montgomery Township, NJ, Mr. Cole will expand and manage the company's project management team in the Region. He will also serve as the lead development executive for the commercial component of Madison Marquette's signature and expansive waterfront development in the nation's Capital, The Wharf.

"His deep knowledge and experience will contribute broadly to our existing and expanding development portfolio on the East Coast – and, of course, will help further enhance The Wharf and Asbury Park as two of the nation's benchmarks in mixed-use urban waterfronts," Mr. Hammour added.

Prior to joining Madison Marquette, Mr. Cole served as Fisher Brothers' Regional Managing Director and lead efforts to open a Washington office for the New York-based private institutional owner/developer. He also was a Senior Managing Director for The Clarett Group overseeing Mid-Atlantic activity in acquiring and developing residential, office and mixed-use projects in New York, Los Angeles and Washington D.C. During his lengthy career, Mr. Cole has also held executive positions with Trammell Crow and Tishman Speyer.

Mr. Cole earned a Bachelor's degree from Connecticut College and a Master's Degree in Real Estate Investment from New York University. He is a Member of the Economic Club of Washington, the Urban Land Institute, DC Building Industry Association and the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Washington.
