As Executive Vice President of Office Property Accounting, Mike Muller oversees Madison Marquette’s property accounting operations, including financial reporting, accounts payable, lease administration, property treasury and lender compliance, coordination of annual audits, detailed financial projections, and special reports. Previously, Mike served as Senior Vice President and Controller of the Western Division, where he was is responsible for the financial accounting, reporting, and analysis for the Western Division portfolio, including overall responsibility for directing the accounting management and professional staff, as well as the preparation of monthly financial statements and tenant billings.
Mike brings more than 30 years of experience in due diligence support for acquisitions and dispositions, in addition to coordination of property tax analysis and appeals.
Prior to joining Madison Marquette, Mike was the Controller for Industrial Realty Group, a nationwide real estate development and investment firm where he was responsible for the accounting oversight for a portfolio of over 100 properties and 80 million square feet of rentable space. He also served as the Chief Financial Officer for Ohio Realty Group, a full-service real estate firm where he gained a thorough under-standing of the development and investment aspects of the real estate industry.
Mike began his career at Deloitte & Touche where he became a CPA and manager specializing in real estate and emerging business services. He has also been an instructor for BOMA and IREM covering all aspects of real estate accounting and investment.
Mike is a graduate of the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He also earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy at St. John’s Seminary College.
